Diesel exhaust is divided into two ways into the volute. First, the cross-sectional area of the internal flow

passage of the exhaust volute gradually increases (booster cavity), reducing the exhaust flow rate and

increasing the pressure; Then, the cross-sectional area gradually decreases, and the flow direction at the

turbine is the smallest and matches the Angle of turbine blade, thus transforming the pressure of waste gas

into kinetic energy. Thus, the volute runner is equivalent to the nozzle, replacing the nozzle ring of the tra-

ditional supercharger, which can reduce components, improve reliability and turbine efficiency.

The volute is made of silicon molybdenum alloy. Its high temperature strength, thermal fatigue resistance,

thermal shock resistance and casting performance can meet the requirements of exhaust gas temperature

(400-500 degrees) and variable flow rate.

RH133 Marine Turbocharger compressor housings belongs to T- IHI / T- RH series exhaust gas turbocharger.

It consists of mixed flow turbine and radial flow compressor. This series of turbocharger can match to high-spe

ed diesel engine. Two types of journal bearing: semi-floating type and full-floating type, in order to prevent the

shaft to move. A seal plate and seal ring located in compressor side in order to prevent the air and oil leaking.

The turbocharging efficiency is 60%-62%, and its compressor pressure ratio up to 3.6. Excellent thermal resis-

tance, air and oil sealing performance and stable bearing system ensure the T- IHI / T- RH Series marine turbo-

chargers' reliability and long service lifetime. T- RH series turbochargers are widely used in automotive, heavy

truck, construction, marine and industrial engine.
